Cat Specials

Cat Specials are like a small chapter about one of YOUR cat choices from any Clan that you would like to know about! Here I will post the 5 choices for this month. Cat Specials will stay on the blog for a while. So don't worry if you would like to read it every once in a while! Comment or vote on the poll to vote!

Shimmerbreeze

     "Shimmerpaw slithered to the border, hoping that one of WindClan's plump rabbits would make it's way over to ThunderClan. The prey could help with the starvation of kits. Leafbare was coming closer  and closer, and some kits already were sick. A fat juicy rabbit would be great to help pass her warrior assessment. She crouched down into a bush. Shimmerpaw gazed to the border, waiting for a rabbit to cross. Suddenly the leaves rustled, but a mouse came out of the sound making spot. It wouldn't be as much use as a rabbit, so Shimmerpaw let it stay there. Then a brown figure darted from the border. Finally, a rabbit! It was plump and healthy. Shimmerpaw leaped onto it's furry back, pounding it to the ground. Just then, something did the same to her. Turning over, she realized she was gazing at a strong WindClan apprentice, Applepaw. "Why are you stealing WindClan prey?" she hissed.
     "WindClan prey?" Shimmerpaw spat, knocking her off. "You're on ThunderClan territory, and so is your prey! And that makes it mine."
     Applepaw took no difference and slashed her claws over Shimmerpaw's pelt. Squealing, Shimmerpaw fought back, but her weak blow to the shoulder did nothing much.
     "Who cares if the rabbit is on your territory? Rabbits belong to WindClan! No other cat is fast enough to catch them but us!" Applepaw retorted aiming a blow that made Shimmerpaw stagger.
     Shimmerpaw had to fight back. It was the only way to make her opponent flee. Madly, Shimmerpaw chomped down on Applepaw's tail and clawed rapidly at her fur until blood spat onto her paws. Applepaw cried out, so Shimmerpaw decided to let go. She raced away, back into her territory, with the dead rabbit. Shimmerpaw had fought her off, but ended her warrior assessment with no prey.

     Lightstar had decided to bring her to the Gathering. Shimmerpaw hadn't been made a warrior, since her assignment was to hunt. It was unfair. Sandfur started the Gathering. Smallstar, leader of WindClan, was ill, so his deputy took over. "Larkleap has something to say." Sandfur wheezed, seeming to have catched Smallstar's cold.
     "Appleswoop, my apprentice, fought off a ThunderClan apprentice for stealing rabbits." he mewed, proudly. "So she has been given her warrior name."
     "Appleswoop!" the cats cheered.
     "I also think it's time I become an elder." Larkleap broke the silence. Shimmerpaw raged with fury, not caring about Larkleap being an elder. Appleswoop was on ThunderClan territory, hunting food that doesn't have boundaries. Larkleap must talk more sense into her!
     The Gathering ended peacefully, since no cat knew what really happened with Appleswoop and Shimmerpaw. Shimmerpaw knew if she complained aloud, her warrior ceremony will be held later. She had to learn the hard way to be a warrior.
